Damien Rieu, a member of the far-right Reconquête party, published a photo of a calendar from, according to him, the Ministry of the Armed Forces and on which we see a veiled woman. The ministry replied that it was a “photomontage”, before changing its mind.

A backpedal in a few hours. It all starts with a tweet Sunday evening from Damien Rieu, a former National Rally (RN) who has passed since the 2022 presidential election under the bosom of Reconquest, the party of Éric Zemmour. The far-right man publishes on his Twitter account photos of a calendar which, according to him, comes from the Ministry of the Armed Forces.

On it appears a veiled woman. Damien Rieu accuses the Ministry of the Armed Forces of “promoting the Islamic veil”. Answer: “False. A photograph of the Ministry of the Armed Forces is circulating on social networks. This is a photomontage. Be vigilant, do not relay false information”.

“Valuing civilian personnel”

For his part, Damien Rieu maintains his remarks, arguing that the calendar was “distributed several weeks ago to the staff of the Commissioner of the Armies”, and highlighting “several sources”.

The Ministry of the Armed Forces deletes its tweet and publishes a new one to clarify that the calendar does indeed exist. However, it is indicated that this is “an initiative of a team from a department of the ministry” and that it is “in no way the calendar of the Ministry of the Armed Forces as has been claimed”.

And to insist:

“This project has never been validated by the hierarchy. Internal product of a service, it has no official value. Since 2020, the Ministry of the Armed Forces has taken the decision to no longer produce a calendar in a development process sustainable”.

The ministry nevertheless takes care to specify “the idea behind this choice of photo”: “to promote the civilian personnel of local recruitment who contribute in an essential way to the missions of our armies on the ground”.

Reaction of Damien Rieu: “‘It’s not us, it’s one of our services’… as usual in France, those responsible are not responsible”.

This week, Olympique Lyonnais quietly prepared for its meeting at the Orange Vélodrome. Meanwhile, the Marseillais themselves faced Tottenham on Tuesday evening in a crucial match for their survival in the Champions League. But the Phocaeans lost 2 to 1 against Spurs, who were therefore eliminated from C1 and C3. Sunday evening, the men of Igor Tudor, who have many more minutes in the legs, therefore chained against Gones. And quite frankly, we wondered for 45 minutes, or even more, which team had played this week.

The locals physically ate the Lyonnais, in the hard. It’s not really a surprise since Laurent Blanc has explained several times since taking office on October 9 that his players were not yet ready. Problem. He recalled it again on Friday at a press conference. “We are not yet sufficiently armed. Marseille will also be in this register. We have a deficit but we have to offer something else. The athletic is often connected to the command which is the head. We have an offensive team, rather than a defensive one. We have very young players in defense…”

Laurent Blanc had changed his system

To try to compensate for this athletic deficit but also to contain the Olympian midfielder, the President had decided to bet on a 4-4-2 on Sunday evening. He therefore left the 3-5-2 he had put in place to try another option, he who had not been convinced by his system during the miraculous victory last week against LOSC when his team was passed successfully in 4-4-2 in the second period (1-0). Blanc therefore aligned Anthony Lopes with the Tagliafico-Lukeba-Boateng-Gusto quartet in front of him. Tipped to be in the eleven, Sinaly Diomandé, back from suspension, therefore paid the price for this tactical choice.

In the middle, the Lyon coach trusted Thiago Mendes, Johann Lepenant, Maxence Caqueret and Houssem Aouar. Regarding the latter, Caqueret was eccentric on the right and Aouar on the left. In front, no surprise since Moussa Dembélé and Alexandre Lacazette were established. But the two men had practically nothing to eat in the first period. They were not found by the circles, generous in the effort but very approximate offensively and shaken. The system put in place did not really provide the desired balance. At the break, Aouar, who lost a bunch of balloons, was replaced by Jeff Reine-Adelaide, interesting.

Touch-ups during the game

Karl Toko Ekambi, he entered in place of Moussa Dembélé, who had dropped the marking of Samuel Gigot. But his attacking partner Alexandre Lacazette was not necessarily more successful on Sunday evening. Anyway, Laurent Blanc hoped that KTE would bring its percussion and its ability to take depth. And the speed he brought was interesting, he who got chances (62nd in particular). Despite everything, OL did not succeed. After Boatang’s injury, replaced by Diomandé in the 69th minute, the Lyon coach tried everything for everything with the entries of Cherki, who wanted to do too much, and Tetê in place of Caqueret and Lepenant in the 76th minute.

But the two entrants were not up to it. Laurent Blanc therefore did not find the solutions in Marseille, he who tried everything to score a goal and leave the Vélodrome with at least one point. After the meeting, the coach, reassembled against some of his players, spoke about his tactical choices and his lost bet. “The system is not a problem. We played four tonight, everyone thought we would play five. The system is one thing, the animation another. There are players for that. Some are made to defend, others must animate. In first, they were not in it”. Then he got tougher afterwards.

A bet that didn’t pay off

“When you come here and you only play half time, it’s hard to come home with points, I told the players. In the first half, in the use of the ball, we were mediocre, far too mediocre. When we recovered the ball, we only made bad choices, for example, on a three against one after a corner for them. We made the wrong choices at the wrong times. We collected the balls and gave them back within thirty seconds. In the second half, the game was choppy, Marseille did not offer much play, they defended well. By being more serious with the ball, sincerely, a point, you could take it without problem. In the second half, we had control, without being immune to a counter..

He finally indicated that his team had been a bit better when they returned from the locker room. “It was better in the second half, Marseille was probably less effective in its defensive replacement”. But his OL did not know how to take advantage of it. “Offensively, we have players who score goals, we have them in Lyon, now we have to highlight them, and get them the goals, that’s the most complicated thing. The animation on the sides was less good than in Montpellier, for example. OL will therefore have to review their copy before the reception of Nice on Friday. Laurent Blanc, who is not a magician, hopes to find the right formula to end this first part of the season with success.

“France should do everything except pose as a lesson giver”, launches Clément Sénéchal Monday, November 7 on franceinfo. The climate spokesperson for Greenpeace France reacted to the remarks of Emmanuel Macron who affirmed a few hours before his official speech in Sharm El-Sheikh (Egypt) during the COP27, to want “put pressure on rich non-European countries to tell them to pay their share”.

>> COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh. Follow our live.

The position taken by the French president is “absolutely toxic”suggests Clément Sénéchal for whom “France and no country should come and speak at the United Nations platform, simply to blame other countries”. Especially since the country chaired by Emmanuel Macron also has things to be ashamed of. France, proud to have reached an agreement at COP21 in Paris, “refuses to increase its climate objectives when it was an obligation determined in the Paris agreement”recalls the climate spokesperson for Greenpeace France. “France is reducing its greenhouse gas emissions far too slowly to meet its targets.”

Clément Sénéchal takes the example of “Corrective finance plan this year which has encouraged the consumption of fossil fuels with the rebate at the pump. We have a 2023 budget which will be twice as unfavorable to the environment as the previous budget. We have reopened coal-fired power stations on the territory. We are planning a floating terminal in Le Havre which will bring in shale gas… France should do everything, except pose as a lesson giver”.

But France, of course, is not the only one to contradict its promises made in 2015 during COP21. What causes a “form of impatience and anger” within Greenpeace against rich countries. “Year after year, the commitments put on the table for the moment take us to +10.5% of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, when they should be lowered by 45%. We see subsidies for fossil fuels which are constantly increasing and countries like France still continue to support these energies are the first responsible for global warming”.

Initially opposed to this candidacy and skeptical as to his country’s chances of winning, Mr. Ben Hammam had to comply with his sovereign’s injunctions. Rushing into the breach opened by FIFA for the simultaneous awarding of the 2018 and 2022 editions of the World Cup, conducive to bargaining, he worked for nearly two years to convince, by all means, his colleagues on the executive committee. of FIFA to vote for his country.

Silenced by both Emir Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani and his father and predecessor Hamad since his life ban in December 2012 by the International Football Federation (FIFA) for “conflicts of interest”, Mr. Ben Hammam says “MBH” is however the great architect of the victory in the ballot boxes of the emirate, on December 2, 2010, during the vote of attribution of the World Cup.

“Without ‘MBH’, we wouldn’t know how to write FIFA in Qatar, smiles Guido Tognoni, ex-adviser to ex-FIFA president (1998-2015), Sepp Blatter. Who else but him could have brought the World Cup to Qatar? »

At the heart of the myriad cases of embezzlement that shook FIFA, of which he was vice-president, accused by the media across the Rhine of having favored the buying of votes during the controversial attribution of the 2006 World Cup to the n Germany, “MBH” is considered the great corrupter and shadow lobbyist par excellence.

“He did his duty and obeyed the emir”

Long ally and putative successor of Sepp Blatter, having a time of a “current bank account” at FIFA, according to an internal report seen by The world“MBH” saw his career turned upside down by the plan of the Emir Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, in 2008, to obtain the Holy Grail: the organization by Qatar of the World Cup.

“He did his duty and obeyed the emir, comments Mr. Tognoni. Qatar’s campaign in 2010 was unique and perfect: the Qataris, richer than the other candidates, used all the diplomatic, personal and economic links. “MBH” had international ties. He was more important than the pope at the time. All members of the FIFA Executive Committee went on pilgrimage to talk to him. » Dismissals, bribes, exchanges of votes with the candidate countries for the organization of the 2018 World Cup… “MBH” is multiplying behind the scenes in an attempt to seduce its colleagues.
