Chatting to Deadline about the controversial Oscars ceremony, which saw Will Smith slap Chris after he made a joke about Will’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, ABC president Craig Erich said that he was open to Chris returning as the emcee next year.

He also opened up about the ceremony, saying: “My assessment of the Oscars was that it was really a successful year for the show. Obviously there was a lot of controversy, which overshadowed a lot of the positive things about the show, but I was really happy with the program.
“Even before that very unfortunate moment, the show started off up year over year, and we came back in a big way.”
He continued: “It was the biggest bounce back of any award show this season. If you look at what they were trying to do, which is really bring entertainment back to the program, they had three amazing hosts, clips, and incredible musical performances, I thought it was a great way for the show to reclaim its place on the mantle.”

Chris has yet to speak about properly about the event, and hasn’t revealed whether he would like to return to the Oscars to host. However, he has made some jokes about the situation during his stand-up, with The Telegraph reporting that at one gig he said: “Don’t expect me to talk about the [expletive]. I’ll talk about it at some point … on Netflix. Your tickets were expensive, but not that expensive.”

Netflix’s Resident Evil series is set to make a major change within the franchise when it premieres this summer. The series will be the first live-action project to hit the silver screen and it has a pretty well-rounded cast. Netflix cast Charlie’s Angels star Ella Balinska in the lead role of Resident Evil and Lance Reddick as a race-swapped Albert Wesker. In the video games, Wesker is a white blonde male who dies in a volcano, so the casting definitely turned some heads, but Reddick was deemed the best man for the job. We recently got the chance to sit down with the showrunner of Netflix’s Resident Evil, Andrew Dabb, and he revealed how Reddick landed the role and teased how the character is still alive in the series.
“So essentially, what happened. So number one is, you know, in the games, Wesker is dead. He got blown up by a rocket launcher in a volcano,” Dabb revealed. “The games are our backstory. So everything in the games exists in this world. So how is Wesker alive? Now, I will say stay tuned. And the answer is not like he’s immune to lava. You know what I mean?”
Reddick has a pretty prolific career starring in projects like The Wire, Fringe and the John Wick franchise, so he definitely is qualified to play the role. Dabb revealed that when the actor showed interest in the role, they immediately chose him because there was no one better for the role. The Resident Evil showrunner also reveals why Reddick was the right choice to play Albert Wesker.
“In terms of casting, the rule for casting was to find the best person, you know what I mean? I think when you are casting in the modern day and age, if you are limiting yourself based off, well, this character is blonde, so we got to only look at blonde actors, you’re gonna find yourself in a bad position,” the Resident Evil showrunner continued. “And so, when Lance [Reddick] was interested in doing the part, well, you’re not gonna find anybody better. Like, you’re not gonna find anybody better than him to play his character. Both the kind of dad part of the character, and also, as you saw in this, the more kind of corporate, you know, killer part of the character.
“So once that clicked into place, like, you’re not going to do better. So at that point, you’re making the show weaker by going with someone that may be more aesthetically a match to the game, you know what I mean? So why would you weaken a show like that? You know what I mean, it makes no sense to me. And luckily, Netflix and Constantin as well, we’re very much on board with that. Because the goal here is to do the strongest show, and that, by the way, that applies to all the others. You know, looking at Ella [Balinska] and Tara [Smart] and Sienna [Agudong]. And Paola [Nuñez]like, we, believe me, we saw a lot of people, you know what I mean? Pretty much everybody. And these people were the standout people, these every, and I say this, like, honestly, everybody on this show was our first choice. And we were very lucky that Netflix helped us put them in the show.” Dabb added.
Netflix describes the series as follows: “Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.”
Netflix’s Resident Evil series will feature eight one-hour episodes which will all release on July 14th.

Brittany Hockley found fame on The Bachelor franchise before becoming a successful podcaster, but now the 34-year-old has her sights set on an acting career.
The Sydney-based star, who is good friends with Rebel Wilson, says that watching Rebel film the Netflix comedy Senior Year has inspired her to pursue acting.
Brittany, who was on the set of the movie while it was being filmed, shared some behind-the-scenes clips and photos to Instagram on Tuesday.

‘On set of Senior Year last year watching this boss do her thing and honestly nothing has made me want to be in a movie like this more,’ she gushed.
‘Such a fun set!’ she added. ‘I mean, what a vibe.’
Brittany then publicly congratulated Rebel on the success of the film, posting a selfie of the pair together before tagging Rebel and Netflix.
‘I knew it would be great, but #1 in over 60 countries!?! Congrats beauty. Way to overachieve!’

Last month, Brittany revealed that being mates with the Pitch Perfect star had inspired her to chase her own acting dreams.
‘Rebel is so great. I spent a lot of time with her last year and on sets with her in Atlanta, and she really re-inspired me to keep chasing the dream and [reminded me] that nothing comes easily,’ she told Stellar Magazine.
The Life Uncut host has even signed up for acting classes at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney – whose alumni include Cate Blanchett, Sarah Snook and Mel Gibson.

Rosie Perez apologises for sounding a little hoarse – it’s partly because of a cold, but mainly because she spent Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, screaming for Amanda Serrano during her historic bout against Katie Taylor. “I shouldn’a went to the fights, but I went to the fights,” she mutters in that unmistakeable Brooklyn accent. But how could she have missed the biggest women’s boxing match in history? “On one hand, it’s gonna go down in the history books as one of the best fights ever, and that’s saying a lot. And on the other hand, I was really upset that Amanda didn’t get the win.”
Perez is no casual fan. Moviegoers know her as a distinctive, expressive actor, veteran of everything from 1989’s Do the Right Thing to the current HBO hit The Flight Attendant. But, in other circles, Perez is better known as “the first lady of boxing”. Around New York, she is often to be found ringside, not just at the big title fights but the lower-tier prospect matches. All the promoters know her, and many of the boxers, too – including Serrano, a fellow Puerto Rican from the same neighbourhood of Bushwick in Brooklyn.

While Perez boxes and trains regularly, she doesn’t fight. “I learned how to box because I used to get beat up a lot. And I was scrappy. I would always fight back all the time, even though I would lose,” she says. “I was that idiot that, like, after I’ve been pummelled to the ground, I would get back up and be like, ‘Is that all you got?’”
The first time most people saw Perez, she was boxing and dancing through the opening credits of Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing. It set the tone for the movie, and possibly for Perez’s own career. She has fought against incredible odds to get where she is, and she has punched her way through a few Hollywood barriers, too.
It was dancing that got her started. Lee spotted her at a Los Angeles nightclub, where he was holding an unsavoury-sounding “butt contest” to see which Black woman had the biggest butt. Perez disrupted the proceedings by dancing on a speaker. Lee gave her his card and said, “Tonight is fate,” to which she responded, “You wish!” She thought he was hitting on her, but he was sizing her up for the role of Tina, the girlfriend of Lee’s character in Do the Right Thing. The part was originally written for a Black actor but Perez (who has been identified by others as “Afro-Latino” but rejects such distinctions and only describes herself as “Latina”) made it her own with her brassy, no bullshit attitude. She has spoken of her unhappiness with Lee over the movie’s nude scenes (for which she has since forgiven him), but he was right about the “fate” part.
Yet, Perez still had a fight on her hands to establish herself in a film industry that had little interest in Latina actors. “I understood, right off the bat, the racism and stuff like that,” she says. “And so I just made sure I had representation.” Jennifer Grey, who co-starred with her on her next movie, Criminal Justice, introduced her to her agency, CAA. “I remember first meeting with them and I said, ‘Get me in the room where you get all the white girls in,’ and their mouths just dropped,” she laughs. “I said, ‘If I don’t get the role then that’s on me. But if you don’t get me in the room, then that’s on you.’”

They got her in the room, and she got the roles, many of which were written with white actors in mind. Like Gloria, Woody Harrelson’s trivia-loving girlfriend in 1992’s basketball-hustle classic White Men Can’t Jump. She, Harrelson and Wesley Snipes reunited at this year’s Academy Awards, where they shambolically presented the best cinematographer Oscar. Harrelson and Snipes admitted they had just done a bong hit in the car. “I wasn’t pissed off at them; I was more like, geez guys, really? You couldn’t wait till after?” Was it like that on set back in the day? “No comment.”
The role that finally showed Perez’s range was also originally written as a white character, Carla in Peter Weir’s 1993 film drama Fearless. The movie was not a hit but Perez’s raw, emotional performance, as a plane-crash survivor who loses her baby, earned her an Oscar nomination. She later revealed she had been drawing on a lifetime’s experience of depression, loss, betrayal and undiagnosed PTSD.
If you were to make a film based on Perez’s childhood, it would seem excessively dramatic. She was initially brought up by her aunt, who she believed was her mother. Her birth mother and father were married to other people, and virtually abandoned Perez as a baby. Her mother returned when she was three, only to place her in a strict Catholic convent school in upstate New York, along with several of her half-siblings. After that, Perez moved between group foster homes, seeing her parents intermittently. Her mother (who had paranoid schizophrenia) and some of the nuns physically abused her, and she was sexually abused by her half-brother. In 1999, her mother died of an Aids-related illness.
At least the nuns taught her dancing, she says, although they might not have approved of how she applied those skills. She began studying biochemistry, but was often to be found in nightclubs “in a tight-ass hoochie-mama minidress and a gang of makeup” as she put it in her 2014 memoir, Handbook for an Unpredictable Life. A producer for the TV show Soul Train spotted her and hired her as a regular dancer. Then, one day a music executive asked her to choreograph his new solo artist. “I said, ‘I’m not a choreographer,’” Perez recalls. “He said: ‘I’ll pay you $1,600 a day,’ and I said, ‘I’ll be there Monday’. And that’s how it began. I made it up on the fly.” The new solo artist was Bobby Brown.

Suddenly, Perez had a career as a choreographer, touring with early hip-hop acts including LL Cool J and Heavy D & the Boyz, and later becoming the in-house choreographer on the seminal 90s show In Living Color, drilling the show’s famous Fly Girls (including Jennifer Lopez).
“It was exciting, it was hard, it was depressing,” Perez remembers.
Why depressing?
“Because being a female in the music business then was very difficult. The misogyny was very, very high. All these men were just – excuse my French – fucking everything that walked. And they were patted on the back. God forbid if you were caught kissing a guy; your career was done. But then every guy was hitting on you. It was non-stop. Even if you got a job, if you didn’t flirt with the manager, the producer, the record company person, or didn’t sleep with them, it would be very difficult for you to secure employment.” Perez refused to play that game, she says, “but people still thought: ‘You probably slept with them.’ Or they would label you a bitch.” She singles out a few good guys – LL Cool J, Heavy D, De La Soul, Tupac Shakur – “but there wasn’t a lot of them.”
She also had her share of unwanted advances and uncomfortable casting meetings in hotel rooms. “I let the feeling be present in the room, like, ‘Don’t fucking try it on me. It’s not gonna happen.’”
Perez chronicled her early life in honest detail in her memoir. A stunt had gone wrong during filming of a Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode, which put her out of action for more than a year. People had long been urging her to write her life story, she says, “but I was still not ready. I was still hiding – and when I broke my neck, I was presented with the truth, every single freaking day, sitting in bed and not being able to move, and having a nurse having to take me to the bathroom, and being so exposed. I just opened up my laptop and I started writing.”

Perez is now more in demand than ever, fuelled perhaps in part by her ever-growing status as a Latina trailblazer. Where once she had to fight to get into the room, people are now fighting to get her into the room.
Her new Apple+ show, Now and Then, for example, is a twisty mystery thriller focused on a group of Hispanic-Americans in Miami, who share a dark secret from their student days. The story switches between Spanish and English, and timelines 20 years apart; the cast is a Who’s Who of Spanish and Hispanic stars. The show only came about, says Perez, because Apple hired a female Cuban executive. “That’s why representation matters.”
It was a similar story with The Flight Attendant, now in its second season. When Perez was offered the part of Megan, the co-worker and best friend of Kaley Cuoco’s hot-mess heroine, she turned it down, she says. “I really liked it a lot but I hate flying, and travelling. I hate it all.”
What changed her mind? “Kaley,” she says. “She’s so freakin’ charming I can’t stand it, and I fell for her charms immediately.” But Perez made it a condition that the writers take into account her character’s situation as a middle-aged, menopausal woman. “I wanted her to have the feeling like when you get older and you walk down the streets, and the guys don’t look at your tits any more,” she says. “And you just feel invisible.”
Personally, she feels the opposite. “When I started noticing that I wasn’t getting the same attention as when I was younger, it made me laugh, it didn’t depress me.” Now 57, she is self-deprecatingly frank about getting older. When she learned she was going to be playing both her older and younger selves in Now and Then, she says, “I said, ‘Darling, do you see these jowls around my face?’ I have no fillers going on. Maybe a little Botox. I know, actresses don’t want to admit it but they all do it, you know?” She is giggling like a child now. “Oh my God, my publicist probably won’t want me to say this, but I’m gonna say it. I said, ‘What are you going to do about my neck?’ And they go, ‘We got the secret.’” The makeup department had a special neck-rejuvenating “device”, she says. “A lot of the Spanish actresses do it.”
Perez enjoys her success but she has never really enjoyed celebrity: “It was difficult for me being in the entertainment industry because I was so seen, I am so seen.”
She still suffers from anxiety and depression, although therapy has helped: “Now it’s manageable. I’m able to get out of my way and enjoy the work. It better be after $400 an hour!” She is happy being at home. “I still kind of live a simple life. Just my friends, my family, my husband, my cats. I have a beautiful house and I have a humungous back yard, which is unheard of in New York. I am fine not leaving my house for maybe like a week.” If the promised Taylor-Serrano rematch happens in Dublin, though, she’ll be there.

“That’s another reason why I like boxing so much,” she adds, “because it takes so much tenacity and discipline to become a champion. You have to train every single day of your life. I always felt like I was doing time. And I wanted to make the time work for me.”

Perez is no casual fan. Moviegoers know her as a distinctive, expressive actor, veteran of everything from 1989’s Do the Right Thing to the current HBO hit The Flight Attendant. But, in other circles, Perez is better known as “the first lady of boxing”. Around New York, she is often to be found ringside, not just at the big title fights but the lower-tier prospect matches. All the promoters know her, and many of the boxers, too – including Serrano, a fellow Puerto Rican from the same neighbourhood of Bushwick in Brooklyn.

While Perez boxes and trains regularly, she doesn’t fight. “I learned how to box because I used to get beat up a lot. And I was scrappy. I would always fight back all the time, even though I would lose,” she says. “I was that idiot that, like, after I’ve been pummelled to the ground, I would get back up and be like, ‘Is that all you got?’”
The first time most people saw Perez, she was boxing and dancing through the opening credits of Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing. It set the tone for the movie, and possibly for Perez’s own career. She has fought against incredible odds to get where she is, and she has punched her way through a few Hollywood barriers, too.
It was dancing that got her started. Lee spotted her at a Los Angeles nightclub, where he was holding an unsavoury-sounding “butt contest” to see which Black woman had the biggest butt. Perez disrupted the proceedings by dancing on a speaker. Lee gave her his card and said, “Tonight is fate,” to which she responded, “You wish!” She thought he was hitting on her, but he was sizing her up for the role of Tina, the girlfriend of Lee’s character in Do the Right Thing. The part was originally written for a Black actor but Perez (who has been identified by others as “Afro-Latino” but rejects such distinctions and only describes herself as “Latina”) made it her own with her brassy, no bullshit attitude. She has spoken of her unhappiness with Lee over the movie’s nude scenes (for which she has since forgiven him), but he was right about the “fate” part.
Yet, Perez still had a fight on her hands to establish herself in a film industry that had little interest in Latina actors. “I understood, right off the bat, the racism and stuff like that,” she says. “And so I just made sure I had representation.” Jennifer Grey, who co-starred with her on her next movie, Criminal Justice, introduced her to her agency, CAA. “I remember first meeting with them and I said, ‘Get me in the room where you get all the white girls in,’ and their mouths just dropped,” she laughs. “I said, ‘If I don’t get the role then that’s on me. But if you don’t get me in the room, then that’s on you.’”

They got her in the room, and she got the roles, many of which were written with white actors in mind. Like Gloria, Woody Harrelson’s trivia-loving girlfriend in 1992’s basketball-hustle classic White Men Can’t Jump. She, Harrelson and Wesley Snipes reunited at this year’s Academy Awards, where they shambolically presented the best cinematographer Oscar. Harrelson and Snipes admitted they had just done a bong hit in the car. “I wasn’t pissed off at them; I was more like, geez guys, really? You couldn’t wait till after?” Was it like that on set back in the day? “No comment.”
The role that finally showed Perez’s range was also originally written as a white character, Carla in Peter Weir’s 1993 film drama Fearless. The movie was not a hit but Perez’s raw, emotional performance, as a plane-crash survivor who loses her baby, earned her an Oscar nomination. As an adherent of the old Mandalorian religion, the bounty hunter is not permitted to remove his helmet in front of another, which has led to plenty of speculation as to how much of Mando’s screen time is actually performed by a stunt double. That line of thinking has lately been pushed further, with a The Mandalorian replacement rumor suggesting that Lucasfilm had fired Pascal and cast The Boys star Urban in his place for season 3.

It wouldn’t even take much explaining to have Din Djarin never remove his helmet again, since his Boba Fett appearance suggests he will seek redemption for doing so previously to be welcomed back into his faith. Considering that series caused Kevin Smith to say Boba Fett removing his helmet made him less cool, a pivot in that direction might even be welcomed by viewers.
Thankfully, though, there’s no legitimate reason to believe The Mandalorianseason 3 cast won’t include Pascal in the lead role. Filming already wrapped in March of this year, meaning that fans won’t have much longer to wait until they see Mando and Grogu on their next adventures. Until then, Star Wars audiences have Obi-Wan Kenobi to tide them over, with the highly anticipated miniseries set to premiere next Friday, May 27.

Kyle Richards has plenty of fond memories of working with Jamie Lee Curtis — reaching back to when she starred alongside Curtis as a little girl in 1978’s slasher classic, “Halloween.”
“Gosh, I have so many (memories) now,” Richards, who was 9 years old when “Halloween” came out, told TODAY at Monday’s NBCUniversal upfront red carpet. “You know, it used to be that the last day we wrapped on the original ‘Halloween’ in 1978 that she carried me back to my dressing room all the way, but now I have so many more. You know, this time we were filming in Georgia, and it’s just like those moments, like, ‘Come down, I’ll make you a coffee for breakfast,’ and just talking and sharing.”
“She’s an incredible person and someone that I admire not only as an artist but just as a human being,” added the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star.
More than four decades after they worked together in “Halloween,” Richards, 53, and Curtis, 63, reunited for 2021’s “Halloween Kills,” and they are set to star in the upcoming sequel, “Halloween Ends.”
In a cute clip promoting “Halloween Kills” last year, Richards and Curtis re-created the moment from the original “Halloween” set when Curtis carried Richards back to her dressing room.
“Jamie, can I say something? Forty years ago…” Richards said.
“I carried you,” Curtis said, and without missing a beat, picked up her co-star and carried her down the hallway.
Richards has been busy over the past year. She also appeared in the first season of Bravo’s “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” joining other members of the “Real Housewives” franchise on a drama-filled vacation in Turks and Caicos.
Season Two of the franchise’s “Ultimate Girls Trip” spinoff is set to premiere next month, and Bravo host and producer Andy Cohen hinted to TODAY this week that a third season may also be in the works.

Priyanka recently returned to work after welcoming her daughter Malti back home. The actor is shooting for Amazon Prime Video’s web series Citadel, which also stars Richard Madden.

North Carolina: aka the One Playing ‘Rose, Budd, Cawthorn.’ Millennial Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R) conceded from the House race after trying to fend off all sorts of sex-related scandals. Meanwhile, Trump-endorsed Rep. Ted Budd seemed on track to win the GOP nom for NC’s open Senate seat. And will face off against former state Supreme Court Chief Justice Cheri Beasley (D) in November.

Because Dems hold the House and Senate by thiiiis much. So who GOP voters put up against them could make the difference between whether Republicans do or don’t get control of Congress. COVID-19 booster shots for elementary-age kids. Yesterday, the FDA authorized a third Pfizer shot for healthy 5- to 11-year-olds. Officials say dose No. 3 can help provide continued protection against COVID-19. It comes as highly transmissible Omicron subvariants are driving a surge in parts of the country, especially in the Midwest and Northeast. Yesterday, NYC raised its alert level as cases and hospitalizations rise, putting pressure on the health care system. Next up: the CDC is set to meet tomorrow to decide whether to formally recommend the third dose. Meanwhile, the FDA could have vaccine updates for kids under 5 as soon as next month.

Where there are updates…
Mariupol. Ukrainian officials said its troops have “fulfilled” their combat mission in the southeastern port city. And evacuated over 250 Ukrainian troops from the Azovstal steel plant, where they had fended off Russian troops for 83 days. It’s Russia’s first major win since the start of its invasion and has major implications: the port city’s strategically placed between annexed Crimea and other Russian-backed territories. It’s also one of the largest trading hubs on the Sea of Azov, and cutting off ports could strangle Ukraine’s economy. Despite Russia’s efforts to conquer parts of Ukraine, it has made little progress.
…Oh and speaking of Europe, Sweden and Finland formally applied to join NATO today. All 30 members need to unanimously approve their applications — a process that normally takes months but could reportedly happen within weeks.

Last year, the intel community shared a report citing more than 140 cases of flying objects the gov can’t explain. Now, that number’s closer to 400. Yesterday, NYC raised its alert level as cases and hospitalizations rise, putting pressure on the health care system. Next up: the CDC is set to meet tomorrow to decide whether to formally recommend the third dose. Meanwhile, the FDA could have vaccine updates for kids under 5 as soon as next month.

Mariupol. Ukrainian officials said its troops have “fulfilled” their combat mission in the southeastern port city. It’s also one of the largest trading hubs on the Sea of Azov, and cutting off ports could strangle Ukraine’s economy. And of course, the film stars Kaitlyn Dever.
Led by Larson’s moving performance as Grace, Short Term 12 is set at a group home for troubled teenagers, and tells the story of the kids themselves and the counselors who spend time with them.

Booksmart lets Kaitlyn go back to her comedy roots, as it tells the story of two goody two-shoes who decide to party for the first and final time with their peers before they leave for college.

He’s in love with Carol, who now has a husband and a teenage daughter.
Kaitlyn Dever plays the said teenage daughter, whose name is Hildy. She eventually befriends Chris, and the two bond. Though the drama is anchored on Duplass and Falco’s compelling performances, Dever holds her own, too, in this bittersweet film about love and circumstance.
I have to be honest. The 6.6 IMDb rating on this one is confusing given the film’s poor reviews. It currently has a 33% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which might be a bit more accurate, but this is an article based on IMDb, not on Rotten Tomatoes, and so I must soldier on.

In Men, Women & Children, Donald and Helen Truby are cheating on each other through web-based services like Ashley Madison, while their son Chris has taken an unhealthy level of liking to online pornography.
He also sexts with his classmate Hannah, whose mom likes to post revealing, often provocative photographs of her online.
In contrast, Kaitlyn Dever’s character Brandy Beltmeyer is guarded by her overprotective mother Patricia, who monitors her texts and social media use.
The whole thing feels a bit like one of those moral panic movies you’re forced to watch at a Catholic high school, designed to try and scare you away from sex and the Internet.
And that’s a shame, because the topic of media use and intimacy is timely then and now, and director Jason Reitman (who gave us 2007’s Juno) has plenty of stars to work with. Dever is joined by the likes of Jennifer Garner, Judy Greer, Rosemarie DeWitt, Ansel Elgort, and Adam Sandler. Even Timothée Chalamet has a small role.
But all that star power can’t fix a poor script and an overbearing approach — though Dever and Elgort in particular do try their very best.
Also directed by Outside In’s Lynn Shelton, Laggies (or Say When, if you’re based in the UK) stars Keira Knightley as Megan, a 28-year-old slacker going through a quarter-life crisis.

But the cast is as far as the similarities go with Men, Women & Children. This rom-com is decidedly light and doesn’t try to teach you too many morals. It’s enjoyable, too, and Shelton has a way of crafting scenes that make you empathize with her characters.
Dever has said several times in interviews how she loves learning from everybody she gets to work with, and maybe part of her remarkable skill today is thanks to movies like this one.

Monsterland (2020, 5.3 on IMDb): Despite its low ranking on IMDb, this horror anthology is actually pretty good — Rotten Tomatoes even gave it an 82% rating. The eight episodes tell different stories based on Nathan Ballingrud’s short story collection North American Lake Monsters: Stories, and Kaitlyn Dever stars in three of them.
